Honda Prelude: From Car to Hip Hop Whip

Crown
Honda, St Petersburg provided the 1995 Honda Prelude,
Special Edition to be made into a Whip by Richie Wess and
Crew. Crown Honda has been in the business of providing
the Bay area with superb Hondas and car services since 1971,
becoming a "one stop shop" with a remarkable reputation.
Family owned and operated, they are known around the Bay
for uniquely amazing relationships with customers and enthusiasts.
Above Richie Wess discusses the history, popularity, and specs
on this Prelude with Mike Cooley at Crown Honda.

Better
Days?
The Honda Prelude
was discontinued in 2001, but this hasn't effected its notoriety.
Car and Driver magazine picked it as an annual
best in ten different years spanning its long life as one
of Honda's most profitable vehicles. This Special Edition
from 1995 came equipped with leather interior, Sherwood
Green finish, and Allied Wheels. The potential for such
a hot car is apparent, between the Prelude's popularity
and this Edition's enhanced specs, but unfortunately this
Prelude had a "too close encounter with the car in front
of it." That's bad news for the previous owner; for Richie Wess and Hip Hop Whipz, its the best news. Time to turn
that car into a Whip!
